We had a feeling that this month wouldn't be so abundant in new releases, but July proved us wrong at the last minute. Yeah, a huge wave of singles, EPs, and full albums appeared in the two last weeks of the month, completely opposite to what was shaping up in the first two weeks. It's just more fun for insatiable consumers and more work for dissecting the best of Hardcore, Metalcore, Deathcore, and Crossover.
The best moment of the departure was undoubtedly the beautiful compilation of Canadian bands that was released on July 1st, "Montreal Style: A Hardcore Compilation" by Be About It Records. A nice set of 8 tracks from almost unknown bands, we moshed hard to the songs of Chain Block, Cross Check, Freezerburn, but we finished the floor with Cesspool, so we added this title to our 5th edition of Moshpit Pulse. One after another, Groove Street with "Divided Kingdom," Breakdown Of Sanity, Overthrow, Hell Await, Thrive, Yoda Rising, hit us hard with solid singles that kept our eardrums busy for a good while. That was just before we stumbled upon the new Diploid, "Mantra," which packs a lot of aggression, but nothing compared to the three big singles from Terminal Sleep, Lice and Escuela Grind, really brutal, three real killer singles doped to the bone. These candies make us ready for the next waves.

The excellent debut single "Break Lose" by Six Steps Forward has grabbed our attention, and we eagerly await more from them under the Upstate Records (Europe/Uk). On the same date, Ontario's Pound Of Flesh also delivered a solid single "Forgotten," as did Quebec's Blank with "Sanity," with these powerful guest vocal of female-fronted Victoria from Peer Pressure, Torena, Beyond Reach, Killabastard, Foghorn, Juicebox, Split Intention, Grass Hill, the awesome music from Playn For Keeps, and the relentless Crossover from Condition One joined forces to bring us some vibrant, pulse-pounding tracks.
Towards the end, we were treated to major hits from Dispute, Who I Am, Devil In Me, Earn Your Scars, House Of Grief, and masterpieces from Trail Of Lies and the Australian of Speed. However, For One Hate undoubtedly stole the show with their new EP "Putrescence." Their new vocalist is a powerful addition, the missing piece that elevates the band's quality to another level. Their slamming brutal hardcore is fierce and raw. We've selected "Silverback Gorilla," which is worth hitting the play button on repeat. We love Quebec for its great bands.
There was also another great release across the ocean from the French band First Try, who re-released an old record and a big new album "Die and Retry," which we are sure will bring you as much pleasure to listen to as it did for us. This month is filled with little surprises and high-quality releases. Indulge in this playlist on our Spotify account for four hours of moshpit pulsations.
