For those familiar with Manu Armata for a long time, it's no secret that Boneripper is a band composed of some members from the now inactive formation in the northern Netherlands, as well as other musicians from 13Steps and Bladecrusher. The transition from one entity to another is seamless in this recent project.

Formed in 2022, these sturdy guys, having accumulated over fifteen years within other bands, released "Vengeance & Forgiveness" in 2023, which was well received by the hardcore scene. The same relevance is expected for "World Ablaze", as it maintains the same musical breath and abrasive fervor that shakes the cage, and will be leaving a strong impression during the band's upcoming concerts.
Boneripper's compositions in this second opus are a massive, brutal, and impactful blend of aggressive breakdowns intertwined with the precise, adhesive sound of metallic hardcore. The album is filled with heavy, razor-sharp riffs, hammering drums, and rhythms that occasionally defy convention. The powerful, menacing vocals, accompanied by warm vocal hooks typical of this genre and invite us spontaneously to immerse ourselves in the energy conveyed by their blastering tracks of "World Ablaze". As demonstrated by the first two singles, "Fear Of Death" and "Desolated", released earlier this year.
With a wide range of relevant topics in their lyrics, the penmanship of lead vocalist WD is non imcomprehensive, deep without unnecessary complexity, and above all, committed. Boneripper delves into personal and societal stories. On "The Abyss", they address ecology, urging awareness of humanity's impact on the environment with straightforward, thought-provoking lyrics.
The track "Xenophobic" skillfully explores how xenophobic mentality contributes to the spread of fear and misinformation. The title raises questions about how society can foster a culture of understanding and critical thinking in the face of algorithmic predisposition. "Mental Warfare" reflects themes such as pressure, war, Earth's degradation, and disinformation, expressing a dark vision. Among the ten tracks on the album, there's much to explore lyrically, complementing the melodic intensity heard throughout.
"World Ablaze" shines consistently across the entire album with an impeccable production and their contagious fueled by the musicians' intensity. It's an effort that should not leave anyone indifferent, especially for fans of bands like Hatebreed, Merauder, and Lionheart, seeking a future gem that packs a punch.
